Let us all be inspired to Move!

A friend of mine is working as a Volunteer Physio at the Para Olympics, and she says that the past week that she has been there whilst all the athletes are training, has been one of the most inspiring times of her life.

Seeing the Athletes enter the stadium tonight in the Opening Ceremony, I am already amazed by their incredible ability to overcome their physical difficulties and compete in gruelling events.

One of my Physio colleagues just texted me:

"Watching the opening ceremony and quite expecting (*one of our favourite wheelchair bound patients name*) to come out! That's our new challenge-to get one of our patients to become a para-olympic athlete!"

I hope that these games inspire some of the incredibly brave disabled children that we treat to aim to participate in sports at a higher level.  

And that they also inspire us more able bodied lot to get off of the couch too!

Keep Moving or Get Moving.  We will all feel better for it:)
