How to make super simple Raw Brownies

Monday, May 5

Today's prompt is a "How to" post, and after initially planning on sharing a how to screen print or how to do a sun salutation post, I feel I have to share this 'How to' recipe of raw brownies that I've just made.

I've been drooling over Deliciously Ella's blog for a few weeks now, but not tried any of her recipes yet.  I found her Raw Brownies recipe this morning and decided to make them as a friend is coming for tea this afternoon.

That was until I looked in the cupboard.  Unfortunately I only had almond and not pecan nuts, only had cocoa powder instead of raw cacao, and didn't have any maple syrup.

So I thought I would try a variation of her recipe and they turned out brilliantly!

Seriously they are delicious! And even though I added half a tablespoon of nutella they are surely much healthier for you than regular brownies? And they are soo simple to make!

To make 8 Raw Brownies.

Ingredients:

Half a cup of almonds
One cup of pitted Mejdool Dates
2 Tablespoons of honey
1/2 Tbsp of Nutella
1 Tbsp of Cocoa powder

Place the almond nuts in your blender and blend until they are fine.

Add the remainder of the ingredients and blend together.

Press the mixture into a baking dish, and then place it in the freezer for an hour to set. Store the brownies in the fridge after cutting them up.

And Enjoy!

Simple hey?
